Creamy Berry and Avocado Sorbet

Directions


  1. Chop up bananas and avocados and place them into a food processor or high speed blender.

  2. Add in the 2 cups of berries or frozen fruit of choice.

  3. Pour in 1/4-1/2 cup of the almond or coconut milk and start to blend. You will need to be patient with this step. The more milk you add, the easier it is to blend. However, if you add too much it will end up like a smoothie. If you are using a food processor, stop and wipe down the sides with a spatula. If you are using a high-speed blender like a Vitamix, use the tamper to help combine the frozen fruit.

  4. Keep adding the almond or coconut milk and blending until all of the fruit has been blended and you have achieved a nice smooth and creamy sorbet texture.

  5. Enjoy the sorbet right away. The leftovers can be placed into popsicle trays and used for a refreshing treat later on.

2 Frozen Bananas (Chopped)

1 Avocado

1 cup Frozen Blueberries (or substitute any frozen fruit you enjoy )

1 cup Frozen Raspberries (Frozen strawberries are delicious as well. Peach, mango and pineapple are wonderful options too )

1 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk Or Coconut Milk (start with only 1/4 and add to desired consistency)

2 tsps Pure Vanilla Extract (add more to taste)

1 tsp Maple Syrup Or Honey (Optional - I do not use any sweetener. However, if you like a little extra sweetness to your sorbet, add in some honey or maple syrup to taste)
