Apple Ginger & Spinach Smoothie

  1. Add almond milk and water to the blender.

  2. Add the lime juice and greens first and then add the apple, ginger and seeds and finish with the frozen banana.

  3. Allow the smoothie to blend for a few minutes so that all of the ingredients are well combined and the apple and ginger are completely blended.

  4. Taste your smoothie and adjust to your taste. Add more banana or natural sweetener if you would like to increase the sweetness. Add more frozen banana or avocado to increase the creaminess or add water to thin out the smoothie.

  5. To increase the amount of protein in this smoothie - add an additional 2 Tbsp of hemp seeds or 1 scoop of collagen protein powder. Taste before adding in the extra protein sources and add gradually.

  6. This smoothie is best when consumed right after you make it. You can also place it in the fridge to enjoy later in the day or within the next 24 hours. However, the flaxseeds will change the consistency but it is okay to consume the next day.



1 cup Unsweetened Plain Almond Milk

3/4 cup Water

1/2 Medium Lime (juiced)

1 Handful Spinach

1 Handful Kale (with stems removed)

1 Inch Fresh Ginger Root (chopped)

1 Large Apple (chopped)

1 Ripe Frozen Banana (chopped)

1 tbsp Ground Flaxseed

1 tbsp Hemp Seeds



Additional Protein

Add 1 scoop of collagen protein powder or add 1-2 Tbsp of hemp seeds.
